Let Free Agency begin...

Free Agency has started in the NFL and started with a bang!

It all kicked off at 8pm UK time so we are only an hour in to free agency nut some big named players have already be snatched up by teams around the league so hears a little update on what's happened today so far....

Future Hall Of Famer Randy Moss signed with the San Francisco 49ers this morning. Moss who stands at 6ft4 will fill a much needed void on that offence coming in to the 2012 season and will help push the 49ers toward another play off run.

Brandon Marshall who is rated by many as one of the top 5 wide receivers in the NFL, has been traded by Miami to the Chicago Bears for two 3rd round Draft picks in this years upcoming draft. Chicago fans will be pleased as they have been crying out for top receiver for years and Marshall now completes that offence. You could see big things from the Bears this year with this trade as they try to close the gap on Green Bay in their division the NFC North.

As mentioned in my previous post Peyton Manning is still doing the rounds with teams. He has already visited Arizona, Denver and Miami, and is rumoured to be off to Tennessee in the next 48 hours so a deal could be done soon. With Miami trading Marshall they free up salary cap room for a possible swoop on two Ex Colts in Manning and wide receiver Reggie Wayne.

Two high profiled players in Robert Meachem, a Wide receiver who played in New Orleans last year and Mario Williams, are in talks with the Buffalo Bills who are ranked bottom of there division. By adding two big play makers one on defence and one on offence the Bills could really improve their teams chances in 2012 of causing a few upsets.

Vincent Jackson a Receiver I talked about in yesterdays post is being pursued by Tampa Bay. He is the top receiver available in free agency and Tampa are one of the teams with the most money to spend so a deal could be done soon, this would make young QB Josh Freeman a very happy man giving him a go to guy for the 2012 season. Don't be surprised to see Tampa Bay spend big in free agency and fill a few spots on their roster with some quality players.

Dallas Cowboys released Corner back Terence Newman today quickly releasing more salary cap room and there looking to fill the void with former Kansas Chiefs player Bandon Carr.

Philadelphia Eagles resigned Offensive Tackle Todd Herremans today and with offensive guard Evan Mathis entering free agency there's talk the Eagles will try to sign Carl Nicks to replace him. This would be a big signing for the Eagles as Nicks is rated as one of the best guards in the NFL and the Eagles O Line was already a pretty solid unit in 2011.

With the Free Agency tracker on the NFL website going crazy over the next 24 hours I will try to keep the blog up to date with the biggest deals of each day, so don't forget to follow and come back every night for a round up of Free agency.
